As a way to help victims after the traumatic experience of sexual assault, Centre County has put into place a protocol which allows for a coordinated response for victims.
An advocate from Centre Safe, in addition to law enforcement and a forensic nurse are called anytime a victim presents at the hospital as having been sexually assaulted. The victim can then choose whether they want to use all, some, or none of these services.
If you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual assault and would like to know more about the process, or you have questions about what services are available, please call our 24 hour hotline, 1-877-234-5050. An advocate is always available to give you information and resources before you make any decision. Our services are professional, confidential, and free.
